I run Windows 7 64 bit and I keep getting runtime errors, like every 2-3 minutes or so...
Is it because I have 64 bit?

No, Inkscape runs well on 64-bit. Is this a large file? What did you ask Inkscape to do, right before you got the runtime error?

Re: Rutime errors with all versions fresh install
Hello,
I am having the same problem for a while now. On long term it demands lots of patience having to restart the application every 3 minutes, and recover the work from the backup files.
I have Inkscape installed on two pc´s (desktop = win xp & laptop = win 7), and I work the same files on both of them. However, only the desktop consistenly insists with the 'Runtime error' - 'this application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way'. In general they are small files, with some imported 'pdf' or 'emf' graphics.
I can not find a pattern from executed commands within the program which make it crash. Looking at the timing of the auto generated backups, it seems rather to be 'time' related, every ca. 4 mins of program running time.
I have tried to deinstal & reinstal, didn't work.
I don´t know where to dig further. Can anybody help out?
Cheers
