Thank you

I just finished up a small logo design work for my company in Inkscape, and I felt obliged to drop by and say "thank you" for creating this awesome graphic design software. It's nothing short of amazing.

I didn't have too much of a choice for selecting the tool, as my company was reluctant to spend anything for a small project like this, and I was fed up with the feature lacking Paint.NET and also The GIMP, which has quite a learning curve in my personal opinion.

Then I decided to give Inkscape a try, and I was reminded of Illustrator as soon as I saw the canvas, thereby giving up all hope of successfully drawing a doodle on it, as my previous attempts in Illustrator had been futile. But, I decided to push a little and get things going.

As I started dabbling around, not only did I find things intuitive, I realized they were planned in the best of ways. The simplicity is incredible, but the power features are there too. Everything I needed for manipulating shapes, pasted graphics etc. was easily accessible and usable. I used quite a few of the features and that too without reading up any documentation. And I finally managed to make some high quality logos with sleek, good looks that has been approved by the management. Sorry I couldn't share the final logos as they are company internal, but they were appreciated by everyone nonetheless.

Now I'm looking forward to mastering this tool for my graphics needs, and also promoting it to some of my coworkers who are struggling with difficult software.

Thank you and a very Happy New Year to the developers.

Glad you found it a pleasure to use. Having an intuitive ui is something a lot of effort has gone into, so comments like this are always good to hear :D
