separating a worm from an apple to use in SCAL
separating a worm from an apple to use in SCAL
I'm new at Inkscape (on my Mac), but have spent endless hours practicing before coming here for help. I bring in a .svg picture. I want to separate the leaf and worm from the apple. My plan is to take the pieces back into Sure Cuts A Lot to cut on my Cricut machine. I know it has to do with "Paths". I've used "inset" and retrieved the apple, but my worm disappears. I don't know how to separate the apple into individual pieces. Any help out there? ( I saw a man on You Tube due a great illustration, but can know longer find it. ( I'm having fun with inkscape) I have A LOt to learn.

I'm not familiar with your "apple" file so I can only take a guess at the problem
It's possible the objects in the SVG have been grouped, so you may need to ungroup them. When you select an object with
the status bar at the bottom of the Inkscape window will tell you if you have selected a group or any other sort of object.
