tracking mouse in ruler

Postby llogg » Mon Feb 14, 2011 12:53 pm

I just installed Linux Mint 10 on my computer and started fiddling with inkscape in it. I notice that every movement of the mouse is tracked by drawing little black triangles along the rulers. Anybody know what's going on with that and how to stop it? Don't know how to get a screenshot in linux yet, sorry.

It is a bug that will be solved in 0.48.1 that will soon be out. You can reset the remaining triangles by zooming.

Welcome to the linux world :)

Off topic:
It should be enough to simply use the Print screen key to get a window with the full screenshot and options to save it. But using an application with more options is nicer in most cases. There one screenshot application for gnome (gnome-screenshot) usually found under Accessories menu, and one for kde (Ksnapshot) usually found under Graphics menu.

If you need to edit screenshots after taking them, like adding highlights or text Shutter is an excellent choice.

All of those applications can be installed the usual way, they're in repositories.
