Hi,
I have been using the calligraphy tool to create some artwork, and it was going well. However I closed inkscape to get on with some other work, and when I reopened one of my drawings the calligraphy tool just draws a clear shape. I can see the red tracer as I draw it, and then select it and node edit but there is no fill or outline.
I have the preferences set to last selected, and unchecked select new path, with black as the fill colour but to no avail. I even changed the background on a new drawing to black, with a white fill and it drew still did the same. Seems like it always copies the background colour.
I am running 0.47 on linuxmint 9 gnome.
Thanks,
Jon.
Calligraphy tool problems
Re: Calligraphy tool problems
Have you checked the object opacity? It's probably set to transparent. Is the fill box in the bottom left corner showing black, or is the rectangle split in two, one black one with checkerboard pattern, this shows it's transparent?
just hand over the chocolate and nobody gets hurt

Re: Calligraphy tool problems
Hmmm, ok now that's wierd.
Opened up inkscape first thing this morning to check the transparency, which was ok, and still the same problem.
I have just opened it up again to have a play and it is all working again, without any intervention.
Thanks for your assistance anyway.
