[solved] smoothing line-display beyond implemented

Postby Azzip » Thu May 22, 2008 9:31 pm

Hi everybody, i was wondering if it is possible to render lines in Inskape smoother - not by simplifying the path but rather by further antialiasement of the displayed image. Here is a picture of what annoys me in my current project:

("edgy" lines marked by the arrows)
Im not very familiar with the theory behind vector graphics, so maybe this is normal. However, I always have the impression that others do not suffer from this effect. The only "solution" for me so far was to export the image in a very high resolution with subsequent lowering to normal resolution with other tools. I would appreciate every hint on whether this is normal or -if it is not- how to fix it.

This issue has been discussed here - viewtopic.php?t=560

I'm not sure what the status of this issue is. If not you're not running 0.46 already, try that version. Otherwise, trying using Batik Rasterizer to convert your SVG to PNG.
