I have seen today taht inkscape 06 is available for mac os leopard, however i didi not find avy version for tiger. Has it been abandonned for tiger or is ther a version available ?

A little up coz no answer...

The "OS X Tiger and Leopard" link, though, give me a disk image called Inkscape-0.46-1.LEOPARD.UNIVERSAL.dmg. When I drag the app to my Applications folder and try to run it, I get the following:



Does anyone have any idea whether/how I can get .46 running on Tiger?

Your problem is that the version you've got is for Leopard. They're still working on the Mac version.

Yeah, I just downloaded the new 10.4 build last night and I'm really liking it. And I would like to get involved in some way, but from the screenshot that I posted you can see why I might have thought that the version that had been released was supposed to be Tiger-compatible.

On a totally unrelated topic, is it possible somehow to *open* PDFs in Inkscape? As of 0.46, saving as PDF seems to work great.

File > Open and select select Adobe PDF from the drop-down list of filetypes.

Yeah, that's what I tried, but to no avail. I can't report the error message right now because I don't have Inkscape on this computer, but from reading the forums it looks like this is a known bug with the Mac version.
