this is the first time I've ever vectored anything and I got stuck at her eyes. I'm not sure how to go about doing them. any ideas? guides would be very awesome, supposing there is already one floating in the depths of the internet.

Well I'm not sure how much of your image is vector, but it looks like you may have got at least the basics worked out. I'm not an artist, so can't really suggest anything style-wise. But I wanted to suggest looking at other cartoons around the internet. You can do almost anything you want with Inkscape, as far as cartoon eyes. So just jump in and experiment! Have fun with it! Maybe you can find some ideas from a recent tutorial posted here - viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3636.

Hi!
I'm not so sure about your question since I just can't understand it ;)
What is the problem? If you are asking about "How to make a circle with the hole inside it..." - you can just draw a circle, then draw smaller one insight it then choose both of them and press "Ctrl -" (Control and Minus).
Hope that helped.

Don't worry it's coming good, some years ago i was always drawing mangas and Inkscape it's perfect for them. :D
Well, if you want to create that eyes i think the best way is just create paths with the pen tool, otherwise if you don't like them on youtube there is a video called 100 ways to draw manga eyes. Hope it helps :)
I'm just someone who likes to create.
