Problem on overalapping paths of the same shape. Please see photo.

I'm drawing to draw a lower case e and there's something wrong with the overlaps. I hope someone can help me out. Thanks! :D

In the Fill and Stroke dialog, change the "fill rule" to "nonzero" using the button in the top right hand corner:
