I have 2 inkscape files open right now. one of them has the layers, and fill and stroke palettes open.
If I go to the other file, which has no palettes open, and select one of them, say layers, I am sent to the other Inkscape file!
Why is this happening, and how can I have the palettes I need for the file I'm working on..or does it not work like that?
thanks!

2 files open, only 1 has palettes
Re: 2 files open, only 1 has palettes
Are the windows of both maximized? Do you have the dialogs docked?
I think that happened to me the other day, and I don't know what I did to fix it. It just worked itself out. But it's a curious issue.... I can't remember for sure, but I think I had something selected in the window with the dialog already open. And that once I deselected it, I could open the dialog in the other window.
