I have an HP Officejet Pro 8500A and can not print from Inkscape.

Searching your posts, I noted there was a problem with manually setting the page size but have tried that and still get not
get my printer to print from Inkscape.

When I try to print, I get no action at all.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I probably can't help much with this, but I do want to make sure that Inkscape recognizes your printer. When you click Print, a Print dialog should open, with a few options. Are you getting that dialog? Does it list your printer at the top? And are you selecting that printer before clicking Print or Ok, or whatever it is?

If your printer isn't listed, click Add Printer, and follow the prompts. But otherwise, if the answer is yes for all those questions, then we've reached the end of my knowledge on the subject, lol. But please post your Inkscape version and operating system for whoever comes along next.

Hi...I just came across this thread, and was wondering if Lindalou was able to fix this problem?? I am new to inkscape, have the same printer..and am having the same problem. It recognizes my printer, and I can chose it and click print, but it doesn't do anything. Thanks :0) Heather
