CYMK fundraising

Why is there not an initiative to fundraise for the development for CYMK-support by Inkscape? What is holding the community back?

Inertia, I guess. Even if you fundraise successfully, you need a developer who's willing to work on it. Maybe it would be a good GSOC project?

(Or maybe it would make a terrible GSOC project...?)

Something inkscape really, really, really needs is to be able to export to .EPS and import .EPS vectors easily like .SVG. That is my biggest problem with inkscape!

Probably that inkscape's native file format -svg- doesn't support it.
