i like the shape and warmth. did you set an oncanvas vanishing point for drawing the depth of the character or just estimate?

the letter contain two objects, for the back one i draw it manually by placing and combine two same object with different size and then edit the path node to make the depth. i hope there will be extrude extension in inkscape for kind of this.

0.48 has many extensions, quite a few of which produce a bezel/extrude/3d effect. i like the way you've achieved the depth. It's a fairly "blocky" letter but with organic feel to it. Much more routine/typical is the 3d effect just adding an offset copy. Just noticed the subtle reflection.
i've trawled thru a few lively forums to do with fonts and the passionate people that work with them, due to me learning about css and web font display issues etc. anyway, ilovetypography.com is a place i liked to visit, and possibly a point of further inspiration.

Good job . . . I like the color, depth, shading and the reflection is great. I even like the text.

Wish my first effort with Inkscape had been that good.
