Selection rectangle cover just part of object

Postby Grobe » Thu Jul 21, 2011 2:57 am

Hi.

I'm in the right mood at the moment so here's my second post today

When selecting multiple objects, it's all known that you have to make the selection rectangle cover the whole object that is to be part of selection.
I would love if it was posible to select any object that is only partially covered by the selection triangle.

I know at least that me myself would save some time by avoiding some zoom in and out.

Thanks

use the alt key with the selection tool - I don't know if this works in linux/mac, though. This draws a line that selects everything it crosses.
See the manual http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/Select.html#Select-Mouse
Your mind is what you think it is.

Wow! (not the game :P )

I didn't knew that. Yes it works perfectly in windows XP too :D

I actually think I've read about that some time ago when I first started to use Inkscape.
It's just crazy to think about all the work I've done in Inkscape, yet without that in mind.

Thanks a lot druban :D
