Hello everyone. I finally had time to make another test animation despite my many distractions. Here it is, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJ-FGnr8NoI .
I was in a hurry to make it so the animation may seem a tad crude. It was created with Inkscape, GIMP Paint Studio, Blender and Windows Movie Maker. There was a lot of importing/exporting, but it was all free so I wont complain. Enjoy!

Well done, very dramatic! (I think there should have been a shot fired, but that's just me.) My only other criticism is the sign: "Six Shot Sams' Saloon". Is the owner named "Sams", or is it owned by the Sam or Sams family (six people, perhaps)? If neither of those is the case, it should be called "Six Shot Sam's Saloon".

Thanks for the critique. I made the background scenery on raster image software and stayed up past 3 a.m. doing it, so grammar checking was the last thing on my mind. Still this is no excuse. Thanks for pointing that out. Btw, "Six Shot Sam's Saloon" was intended.

interesting work and nice details! you could use shapekey-animation for svg-curves in blender to save A LOT of time and get a good night's sleep rather than drawing and animating the cartoon frame-by-frame. beside that, blender is capable of cutting videos, so there is no need for windows movie maker if you use blender for animation+cut and inkscape+gimp for artwork. for example, this clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xzf8OpcR ... e=youtu.be has been done just using blender, inkscape and gimp like mentioned before.

Thank you for watching ha1flosse. I'm aware of blenders shapekey animator and video sequence editor. I was just show that frame by frame animation was possible in blender, albeit very time expensive at the moment. To save some time, I did use shapekeys for one of the hands during the animation. The 'all good things come from above' video looks awesome by the way. It really shows how SVG animation has the potential to rival flash.

my pleasure. funny, the hand is one of the details which look promising! nice work.
