How are you exporting the PNG? Are you using "Export Bitmap" (the correct way) or "Save As ... Cairo PNG" (the wrong way)?

I suspect the answer is that you haven't lined up the image on the pixel grid exactly. You line might be one pixel, but if it doesn't line-up perfectly with the pixel grid that one pixel will be blurred across two pixels.

Or are you asking about the difference between vector graphics and bitmap (raster) graphics?

than you!!

microUgly: you are right! it's effect blurred

brynn: i knew what is wector and raster ok?

sas: i use click icon "export as bitmap" i never use save as png...
i will test : export (normal) vs save as (cairo) ok thank you!!

but i can ask you how i can snap to pixel to pixel? when i active snap-pixel then i create shape on pixel unit, where i active snap-pixel?

You have to use a grid with spacing of 0.5px. I normally create two grids, one presented with lines spaced 1px apart, and one presented with dots which is also 1px apart but is offset by 0.5px. If that doesn't makes sense, I'll post a screenshot.

Can you elaborate, microugly? Either here or in my topic on the same subject viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5231 Only better titled ;) I would also like to know what is the easiest/fastest method to correct already created graphic comprised of few vector and few bitmap objects (like in the attachment in my topic).

I can't believe this stuff is not discussed in neither of Inkscape manuals I laid my hands on  It is a subject of crucial meaning!

EDIT:

I'm still open for additional tips. Especially regarding preserving crispness of bitmaps imported to Inkscape.
