Hello
I have problems creating stuff for my website.
I want to make a banner like this:
----------------------------------------
\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \
\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \
------------------------------------------
(different colors alternating).
So i created one of this bars, made it a path and tried to create tiled clones so i'd recive 1 bar - space in the size of a bar - 1 bar - ... , but it didn't work!
I got the bar i created and the number of clones of it i wanted, but being on top of each other!
I tried to change everything possible, made it exactly the way i saw in some videos on screencast.heathenx.org, but i alway get this result.
It worked one day as i wanted, but then it failed and i couldn't fix it. Is it a bug or me being dumb?

[solved] Creating Tiled Clones fails
Re: Creating Tiled Clones fails
What settings did you enter in the Shift tab?
you need to set Shift X - per column - 100%
and shift Y - per row - 100%

Re: Creating Tiled Clones fails
The Bars aren't meant to be upon each other, but next to each other (bout 15 times, always same spacing).
When i apply your proposals, i get all clones on top of each other.

What Inkscape version are you using?
If you have Exclude tile option under Shift ticked you can get objects on top of each other.
If not its probably a bug (I don't know what option might be causing it). The new 0.46 version is out, you will soon be able to download it from the Inkscape website. Im using the development build from March 21st and I don't have the shift bug.

Re: Creating Tiled Clones fails
Ok, i found the solution.
I put the Exponent to 0 because i dumbo thought that was the right number!
After looking on it for a while, i saw it.
Sorry for inconvenience.
