Hi all, where can I find a latest Inkscape version, able to be installed into / run from a pendrive.
Currently I'm using one I found on http://www.pendriveapps.com/inkscape-po ... cs-editor/
File resides on http://superb-west.dl.sourceforge.net/s ... 1.win32.7z
version is Inkscape 0.45.1, built Mar 21 2007
Seems to be the same found at http://sourceforge.net/projects/inkscape-usb/
I wish to have at least 0.46 if possible, 0.47pre would be even better.
Thanks in advance!
Inkscape portable / pendrive
Re: Inkscape portable / pendrive
I found this: http://portableapps.com/node/19503
Although I've run Inkscape portable from there in the past, I can't say I've tried that particular version.

Re: Inkscape portable / pendrive
Why not try the 'official' one? ;-) (it's the same build as the one from portableapps.com but now also available from the inkscape sf.net repository)
NEW InkscapePortable_0.47pre4 from <http://sourceforge.net/projects/inkscape/files/inkscape/0.47pre4/>

Re: Inkscape portable / pendrive
What a confusing post: The version reviewed and mentioned on http://www.pendriveapps.com/inkscape-po ... cs-editor/ mentions the same official release. That listing does not make reference at all to http://sourceforge.net/projects/inkscape-usb/

Maybe because that sourceforge project you link to hasn't been updated since 'Fri May 11 2007 18:03'?
Re: Inkscape portable / pendrive
On October 22, date of my original post, the download link on "portableapps" didn't point to 0.47pre, it did point to 0.45
Currently, Oct 27, it points to 0.47pre, i.e. portableapps page has been edited / updated / refreshed.
"portableapps" doesn't mention the "inkscape-usb" sourceforge project. I did mention it, because the binary version was the same.
"inkscape-usb" project is obviously obsolete. But I am 90% sure it was the only sourceforge project mentioning a "portable inkscape" up until not too long ago. (I may be very mistaken on this)
Hope this has clarified the confusion a bit.
Cheers
Cris
