Hi,
I have a software that reads out DNA secuencing files and it gives out an svg with the secuence colored above some graphic. I want to edit that text, but sadly its an object. Could I turn it into text which I can edit? I don't want to loose its color nor the relative position of it to the graph, so I won't add a new text over.
How do I turn a text object to Text which I can edit?

Sometimes you can ungroup the object and get to the text.
Feel free to share the svg (or a link to it via dropbox, etc.), so we can examine it and maybe better help.

Have a nice day.
