Hello all, I'm a beginner in vector graphics,
In Illustrator, when I open a file in which there is objects with spacing of 0.1in, and Illustrator's grid is also set to 0.1in, then everything is fine.
But when I open the same file in Inkscape, and set Inkscape's grid to 0.1in too, it doesn't correspond, the objects aren't on the same scale.
So either the grid in Inkscape is wrong, or the file isn't opened to it's normal size (or what else?)
Do you have any idea how can I fix this problem?
Thanks in advance, I don't like Illustrator and would like to use Inkscape instead but I can't really, because of this problem
Grid units are wrong (or is it another problem?)
Re: Grid units are wrong (or is it another problem?)
As far as I know illustrator works in 72 dpi,
and inkscape in 90 dpi.
Both grids are correct.
Just came another post on the same based issue here.
Maybe ~suv knows how to add custom dimensions in the document preferencies panel, that could answer this "issue".

Thanks, it has been fixed by editing the file "header" and changing from pixels to inch (dividing pixels values by 72)
Sorry, this is not a software issue, topic can be locked/moved whatever, thank you.
