Hi,

when applying a texture to a rectangle, I can see a white horizontal lines as you can see on the attached image.

I have the same problem with the rest of my textures.

I have 0.48.5 on ubuntu 14.04

A quick search on the forum for "pattern" lead to these links:

tracked bug
release notes on 0.91 version
At the latter:

Rendering bug fixes.
Pattern fills (no more gaps between tiles, regardless of transformation)

So if you can have a working development build on your machine, the patterns will probably look good.
I can't help with that part.
