REA 9 Dock Icon

Postby MavisPuford » Tue Mar 25, 2008 2:47 am

Hi, I'm new here, but I guess I can say I have a LITTLE bit of experience with Inkscape and graphic apps. I use Inkscape regularly to draw floor plans for flyers in the real estate business. It works great! Anyway, I couldn't find an icon for REA 9 that I could use with RocketDock so I made one a little while ago. The only problem I had was when I exported it, the shadow was cut off slightly. I made the page size fit to the image, which you'd think would include that. Maybe it's because it has a gaussian blur applied to it.. Anyway, it's all fixed now. Here it is (All done in Inkscape):

*Updated so the shadow isn't cut off anymore.*

Nice work. Getting the correct document area when blur is used might be something that needs correcting in Inkscape.

Thanks microUgly! Yeah, If I remember right, when I exported it, I chose "drawing" in the options. For now, I will just keep the page slightly bigger than the drawing and export the page. It's updated now. Looks a bit better. :)
