I can't get Inkscape to open in full screen mode. I've gone into "Inkscape Preferences" and have "Save and restore window geometry" checked, gone into the Inkscape templates folder and made sure that the 2 I use the most (Default, and Default_mm) are with the full screen open and properly positioned on the monitor and re-saved them. The Default template opens in the right place on the monitor but not full screen and the Default_mm opens on the right side of the monitor, close to the bottom, and again, not full screen. It doesn't matter if I open through "Files - New - drop down menu" or through "Open" and follow through to the "Templates" folder - I get the same thing either way. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Re: full screen
Hi KJW,
When you say "full screen mode", do you mean with the page at 100% zoom? By default, it always opens at 35%, so that the whole page fits on the screen. You can create a custom default document so that new files always open at 100%.
Or are you talking about maximized or restored size windows? I think, although I'm not positive, this is dictated by the window size when a blank doc/file was last closed. If you open a new blank doc, maximize it, and close it, then the next time you open a new blank document, it will open mazimized. This would be for Windows os, if I'm correct. I'm not sure about other operating systems.
Or otherwise, what do you mean by "full screen mode"?
To my understanding, the "Save and restore window geometry" setting is for saved files/docs. Not for new files.

Re: full screen
Inkscape will open in the mode that you closed it in, so if you close in full screen mode (F11 on windows, FYI, Brynn) you should be fine. Incidentally, full screen mode can have all bars and palettes in it unless you specifically close them, so check for that as well ...
Your mind is what you think it is.
Re: full screen
Brynn - I was talking about maximized size - sorry about that.
Druban - I don't have all the bars and palettes open.
Went back into templates, re-opened, reset, re-saved and now it's working - don't know what I did differently - but it's what I wanted so life is good!
Thanks for the info, guys!
