I am trying to move a linked image from one SVG to another. It has an svg blur filter on it that I want to preserve. Inkscape crashes when I try to (a) copy and paste, or (b) import the whole doggone SVG. The problem seems to be with the target SVG because when I tried copying the image into a new, empty document, Inkscape did not crash.

It can be due to a corrupted file or a bug. Hard to tell just by the vague description.

I assume it will be near impossible to prove any bug without access to the particular file.

I cannot reproduce the error you describe. Do you use latest version of Inkscape?
