I am using Inkscape 0.91 and importing Corel Files. The files just contain shapes. When I import them to Inkscape they are sized to about 25% or their original size. I have a friend who is importing same files and they come in at the original size. Any suggestions as to what is wrong?
Thanks,
Marti I
Imported Corel Files Smaller Than Original File
Re: Imported Corel Files Smaller Than Original File
There's an option to import raster images at their full size. Let's see if I can find it.
Ok try this. Inkscape Preferences > Bitmaps > Import > Override File Resolution. Make sure that is unchecked. Then it will use the resolution info from the raster file, and open it at it's real size.
If you're importing vector images..... Hhm....I guess I would ask if you are sure you're looking at them at 100% zoom, and looking at their dimensions on the Selection control bar.
It might be that you and your friend's computers use different resolutions?

What's your friend's Inkscape version? Could have been fixed, if he/she is using 0.92.1, maybe.

Hard to guess...
If possible, please share the Inkscape file and the Corel file, we might get a better idea that way.

Re: Imported Corel Files Smaller Than Original File
I can confirm that .cdr files can open in Inkscape at 75% original size.
This is most likely due to Corel using 72dpi and Inkscape using 96dpi.
72/96=0.75
If the files are actually 25% the original size, it would be helpful to take a look at them.
