I'm running Vista and have Inkscape 0.47.

I have just installed a Medion digital pen and tablet. The pen is able to select items from the toolbar, but not actually produce anything on the canvas. I have tried changing the Input Devices in the main menu, but I'm only getting one choice and that is a series of symbols. I can change any of the settings even though they do drop down.

I've seen that this was a problem for Wacom tablets and have tried some of the solutions, but nothing works.

(FYI - the pen and tablet work in other programs - eg Paint)

Any suggestions?

I can't offer a solution, but you might like to see if your tablet works in Gimp. If it works in Gimp it may a problem with Inkscape, if it doesn't work with Gimp it may be a problem with GTK.
