Hello,
Is there a way to import into InkScape from MS Word? Lets say I have some text in Word. Can I save this in some form and import into InkScape? What I have been doing now is people are typing what they want, then I retype it in InkScape. Only problem is the Font is not always the same or I need to go get the font and download. Would be great if there was a way to simply Copy and paste. I can not figure it out though!!
Thanks

Re: Micrsoft Word
Open the document in OpenOffice. Print to PDF. Open PDF in Inkscape. The text will not be text but paths.
Re: Micrsoft Word
Select the text you want in Word and copy it (Ctrl C). In inkscape click on the big 'A' in the toolbox and click anywhere on the artboard, then paste (Ctrl F). If you want a different font to the one showing in Inkscape just go Text>Text and Fonts... and choose what you want.
Re: Micrsoft Word
my suggestion was assuming you don't want to find and install the fonts you would need. otherwise the second suggestion is the better one.
Re: Micrsoft Word
Thanks for the replies. How I would like to do this is not find the text. So i would like to be able to save from word and import into InkScape and have the same exact original text without having to download it. When i try this PDF method, my bold font turns into standard for some reason. Any ideas?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Micrsoft Word
make it bold in inkscape by increasing the stroke width.
Re: Micrsoft Word
THANKS!!! I never really played around with the Stroke Width!!
