When I try to save to Cairo PNG, I lose some of the picture. Any idea how to fix this problem?
The picture has multiple layers which I had grouped together.

Try exporting to png (there a button on the toolbar for it), don't use Save as Cairo png.
I think someone had a similar problem and this was recommended, I don't know why Cairo png differs.
