Would it be possible to have things snap to the center of the page? Like center of bounding box or center of object, snap to center of page? Besides myself, we get requests for such a feature now and then in the forum.

Or maybe it's already implemented in the dev version?

A work-around:

1. Select: Object->Align and Distribute
2. Select: Relative to: Page
3. Select: Treat selection as group: checked
4. Click on center-horizontal button (third from left)
5. Click on center-vertical button (third from left)

I used a different workaround -- drew a rectangle the exact size of my page, snapped bounding box corner to page corner, then snapped bounding box centers of drawing and rectangle. And there are probably a few others too, lol.

Definitely this is not a badly needed feature. But it seems reasonable, and can't hurt to ask

As to your request: I think shawncorey's workaround is easy enough, right? I could easily implement your new feature, but this requires an extra button, which makes the UI more crowded (and more difficult to grasp?) and requires screen real estate.

Another workaround is to draw a rectangle, with all corners snapped to the page corners. And then snap your object to the center of the rectangle.
