SVN can import cdr using uniconvertor.
we can import newer ais already through the open menu, since thier pdf based.

Is there any different method without using uniconvertor? (it doesnt work well on win) And what about EXPORT to .cdr or .ai format?

for illustrator if your going to the new version then it should be able to import svg or pdf.

not sure about saving to cdr I think the uniconvertor is both ways, but its not something i really use.

incidentally whats the issue with it on win? afaik in svn we've got it all in the package now so you shouldnt need to set anything up it should just work out of the box.

SVN is short for subversion, which is the version control system we use to store the development code. So when you see people refer to SVN like that we're meaning the current development version. You can download recent SVN snapshot builds by following the links off the main inkscape websites downloads page.
They may have some added bugs as well as added features tho, just to warn you :D
Its just a zip that you unzip and run from a folder so can be used as well as the last release.
