Good Morning!
Disclaimer: I am new to Inkscape I and don't much about it.
I created a logo that I want to use on some T-Shirts for our bowling team. I contacted a local T-Shirt company and asked them what file type I needed. They said they want it in PDF format with the highest resolution I can get. I have no idea how to do this and this is where I need help. If they have to do any editing to the file for me, they are going to charge me $$$. I would prefer not to throw money at them if I can help it.
Thanks in Advance!!
Saving as PDF w/ High Resolution
Re: Saving as PDF w/ High Resolution
Welcome to Inkscape and the forum,
If you draw your logo in Inkscape and export it as PDF it is stored as vector format. So your T-Shirt vendor can get any resolution he wants out of it.
You only need to pay attention if you are importing any pixelated image (logo, photo, whatever...)

I highly advise the graphic be made at the correct size in Inkscape before saving as pdf, even if the content is entirely vector...
Depending on what software or subcontractor the shop uses, it is possible for the shop/sub to convert the image to raster before scaling, leading to poor image quality.

Have a nice day.

The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/

Re: Saving as PDF w/ High Resolution
Thanks for the replies. I think I got it now. One last thing and this might be something obvious I am missing ><
How do I export as PDF? I can only seem the export as PNG. And if I export as PDF will the background still be transparent as it is with the PNG export?

Menubar | File | Save as or Save a Copy
File Type PDF
I don't know why PDF and other formats are not "exported" but "saved". Certainly, it's mentioned somewhere in the manual...
