My first Inkscape drawing

Postby Janne » Mon Jan 19, 2015 5:08 am

Having Spinocerebellar Ataxia I am member of a Facebook group that needed a new banner/logo.

This is what I made ( and I would have done that differently today :) )https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=994199650596484&set=gm.868716393152824&type=1&theater

Since you said you would do it differently now, I guess that means you can't change it, for some reason?

So for whatever it's worth, the only thing that sticks out to me is the drop shadow. For the portion of the ribbon that's raised, realistically the shadow should drop a little more there. And actually, on close inspection, it seems to be smaller under the raised portion. So it's kind of backwards.

Just curious -- the group doesn't have a logo?

Thank you, Brynn!
Actually I followed a tutorial back then and no, I cannot change the logo now since I don't own the group.
Since then I have learned so much more and if I should redo it today it would be a lot different.
It seems as if the group is happy about what I made back then though :)

This was the tutorial I followed:
