50% CPU usage after Inkscape command line use

Postby theozh » Tue Jan 17, 2017 6:49 pm

I have a strange observation when using the command line e.g. for converting SVG to PNG.
If I call

Code: Select all

inkscape -z -f MyFile.svg -e MyFile.png

I always get the message

Code: Select all

Background RRGGBBAA: ffffff00
Area 0:0:793.701:1122.52 exported to 794 x 1123 pixels (96 dpi)
Bitmap saved as: MyFile.png
and the desired file is created. Fine!

However, sometimes I do not get back the cursor in the console and Inkscape continuously uses 50% of the CPU and can only be stopped by the Task Manager. I could not observe any regularity. This happens sometimes after the first conversion, sometimes after the 2nd, 3rd... It doesn't seems to play a role whether a) the output file already exists or not and b) how fast these conversions follow, i.e. if I wait longer or shorter inbetween...

Is this again a Win7/64 issue or a peculiarity of my system?
What other tests could I do to find this out?
Thank you for your advice.

a test file which also shows this behaviour less than 3 kB...
see attachment
edit: actually could not reproduce it in Win10/Inkscape0.91
