Hello-
Completely new to Inkscape.
How do I adjust the size of the object using Inset/Outset path effect. I can select the object but it just shapes it normally after I've selected outset. For Reference How do I do this (at 2:10 mark): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZGDaOMS5Ck In which he enlarges the outside of the shape.
Thanks ahead-
Inset/Outset Help!
Re: Inset/Outset Help!
I believe he`s using a keyboard shortcut to repeat the same action.
Re: Inset/Outset Help!
Hi.
Would suggest dynamic offsetting -if you click that option a handle will appear (usually at the top) of your path you can pull to shrink/fatten with the node tool.

Re: Inset/Outset Help!
Thanks for the responses.
I kind of thought that video poster was using a short cut, but it must be one he made himself?
I did experiment last night after posting with dynamic offsetting. It's not really the same.
Neither response really answers my question. But then again I also didn't ask my question with a "?" I will ask again...
How do I adjust the size of the object (keeping it equal proportion) with the Outset path effect? Oh wait I wonder if I enlarge it using a constrain tool? I'm going to check that. And I'll be back.
Again, thanks for the responses.

Well, well, well.... we have a proper lector here. Hanibal, perhaps? ,)
Re: Inset/Outset Help!
My inkscape has the shortcuts next to the menu commands. For inset and outset they're ctrl+( and ctrl+)
In Edit>preferences>behavior>steps you can set the inset/outset amount for each iteration of the command.

Your mind is what you think it is.

This should be marked [solved] (imo)

Hello
I think in the video, at some moment He scales the outter path with the mouse, constraining the scaling also pressing ctrl + shift... I guess
More info here:

But In the case of that maze, He could had used Dynamic offset, probably with better results , IMO.
