What type of file is the pattern? Is it a raster image, or a vector? Could you post the Inkscape document with the pattern not yet disappeared?

You need to use a public image/file hosting service. You can find a list in Where can I upload my images?
Re: problem when I want to print with pattern fill
I can confirm the issue when I print to my PDF printer.
Strangely I can't find any proper mention of this issue. I thought such an issue would have been reported countless times (Google search brings up this post as number 1 ). I knew that patterns were lost when converting to PDF but not when printing. The problem may be one and the same in which case it applies to bug 166563 which was reported in 2005.
I can't think of any good workarounds for this, besides save it as a high resolution bitmap and printing that.
