A work I finished some time ago (and slightly edited in another program).... To my opinion, I think I'll have to practice more.
And, yes. I do like manga/anime. :]

Nice colors, but some parts are kind of confusing: transparency on hair (?); upper left corner, that black triangle which looks like your character has "claw" or "beak" in the hair (?); it might not be that strange if he/she already has a third eye (?) and not some kind of costume decoration ,)
The other drawing also looks very nice, would be nice to see it done (colored).

Perhaps you should gather your works in one spot/thread?

The main goal was to create a comic-like coloring. More like Marvel or DC. I guess I failed. :S
That 'claw' is a stripe. Like a tiger's or a zebra. The girl has animal ears.
The jewel is not an eye. It might look like one. But it's not.
