Manipulating a picture image

Postby eDee » Sun Feb 11, 2018 7:36 am

I brought a .jpg image into Inkscape. I need to curve the sides of the image up somewhat so it looks like a label wrapped around a jar.

Is there away to take that image and just pull the sides up slightly? Make it curve a little?

Thank you.

Not the best use of Inkscape... it would need to be converted to vector first, with some degradation.

I'd use Gimp, a bitmap editor. Then, if it's part of a bigger layout, maybe bring the modified image into Inkscape to combine with vector objects.
Have a nice day.

I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1

The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/
