Welcome to the forum Claude!

You probably mean to keep the docked windows in positions you left them in. This isn't yet possible, but it's been requested before and it's recorded on the bug tracker.

Or did you mean something else?

Welcome Claude Azoulai!

Hhm, I don't understand what you're asking. Could you please tell us which settings you want to keep?

And by "return to the opening of Inkscape", do you mean that you want Inkscape to open every time with the same settings?

Oops, prkos beat me to the post, lol! But I'll post anyway :D

Thank you to brynn

The answer is that I would like to avoid to redefine each new opening of Inkscape, for example DIMENSIONS of the new document (eg A4 landskap).
I have not found any possibility of default.

Oh, yes you can do that. You want to create a new default document template.

First open Inkscape, and set the document up in the way that you want it to be, every time you open it. Name it "default.svg" and save it here: C\Program Files (x86)\Inkscape\share\templates (that's for Windows 7, 64-bit version) (In Windows XP, it's the same, except without (x86).) I don't know what that is for other operating systems. That should do it. Now every time you open Inkscape, it will be just like you want it.

This doesn't only work for page size/dimensions. I've read in other topics, where someone didn't like that inkscape doesn't use the traditional checkerboard pattern to indicate transparency, so they drew one themselves, and put it in their default template. Another person drew comics, and wanted a template for the default comic frame. If you used it for making webpages you could set up whatever you needed for that!

If you use other than Windows, let us know, and someone else can tell you where to save it (if you can't figure it out).

Hello brynn

That's exactly what I was looking for.
There remains a small problem, Inkscape does not open "default.svg" at startup.
So I copied default.svg to the desktop.
I forced Windows to run all files with the extension. "Svg", with InkSape.
And it works perfectly
And I am very happy
And I thank you
