Hi
I'm using "Inkscape" at present mainly for simple electrical schematics, can the stroke width be set to say 4 pixels as a default rather than alter the width afterwards, line by line. I've tried drawing a box around to adjust several lines at once but that seems to affect the symbols I've created. Or perhaps you could recommend a better way of drawing without creating several independent lines
Thanks in anticipation
Default setting for stroke width
Re: Default setting for stroke width
The tool(s) that you are using can have the style preset by 1)setting an object's style to exactly what you want (in your case, I am guessing, 4px stroke, black, no fill?), selecting it, and then 2) in Inkscape preferences (file menu) going to each tool in turn and choosing "this tool's own style" and pressing "take from selected". Then 3) in preferences > transforms you should uncheck scaling of stroke width.
Let us know if this in fact does not achieve the results you want.

Your mind is what you think it is.
