Hello, I would like to add a tick mark to my Inkscape file, which is a PDF form.
Should I do the usual insert an image, or is there some symbol available with Inkscape?
How can I add a tick to my PDF form in Inkscape?

Hi eiger3970,
check for symbols at Object -> Symbols... . If you can't find there what you need, you may want to browse the free and public domain images at https://openclipart.org/ .

Something doesn't work? - Keeping an eye on the status bar can save you a lot of time!

Thanks, no ticks there.
I'm always amazed how difficult it is to enter the commonly used tick. I guess I'll import a tick image.

If it's present in the font you're using, you can just enter a Unicode check mark character.

(the next entry, #2714, is also a check mark - a bolder one).
In Inkscape, with the text cursor ready to type on the canvas, you can press Ctrl-U to switch to unicode entry mode (check the status bar tells you as much), then enter 2713 (or 2714). Alternatively you can copy and paste it from a Unicode-aware character map program, or even directly from the website I've linked above (select one that's displayed in the "Java" section).
Or you should be able to copy and paste these ones into Inkscape, I think:
