Hi all,
I have problem using inkscape 0.46 clone tile Color tab and Trace tab, it just seem i can never produce the results as in the manual, any idea?
Is it a bug or something, i got a feeling that whenever i clone tile and using color related features, no results.

You'll have to give a better description than "I can't seem to do it." What steps are you taking? What are your results, and how are they different than what you expected?

One big gotcha when trying to use the Color tab or the Trace tab for color is that the original object you're cloning must have a fill color (and maybe stroke color) of Unset. Clones always inherit the fill and stroke color of the original, unless the original has those as Unset. Only then can clones be colored differently from the original.

Be sure you have fill color with color undefinied. Don´t choose X icon, not gradient. Choose "?" icon.

Luck.

Yeah, both of your solution works great, it's really the problem of unset. Thanks a lot :P
