I've just installed 0.46 on my Ubuntu Gutsy PC as per instructions on the front page of inkscape.org and so far it's running great.
I did notice one thing though. When I go to the menu: Help -> About Memory, I see that memory is always being used under Standard Malloc.
When left alone, Inkscape appears to be using up about 250bytes per second. If I drag the window scroll bars around it goes at about 30-40KB per second.
Is this normal?
Large memory leak?
Re: Large memory leak?
I should clarify that when I say "I see that memory is always being used under Standard Malloc" I mean that memory is constantly being allocated and not returned.
Is no one else suffering from this at all?

The standard malloc doesnt show anything under win, so I cant comment. I think this q would be best off being raised at the dev level, either as a bug or to the mailing list.

Initially I was going to put this up on Launchpad but didn't want to add a 'bug' report without knowing if it was my system causing problems or if others were experiencing this too.
I'll go stick something up on Launchpad.
Thanks
