You can search for info here or post new questions and comments at I have been using Inkscape for several weeks now and have had no problems in saving files as svg. Several days ago, I tried to save a file as an inkscape svg (exactly like I had been doing); however, it says it's saving as svg, but does not. The file does not have the "e" icon for svg files and no extension. I can open the files in inkscape, but have to choose what program to open it with or add the .svg extension to the file. I don't have any idea why this is happening, but everything I've done in the last few days saves this way. I don't want to have to go to all that extra effort just to open my files, but have searched everywhere I can find to figure out what the problem is.
Any help will be most appreciated.
