I just wonder: Do Inkscape use only cpu when rendering?

If not, is there plans for the future to make Inkscape more eficient by take use of gpu features?

No it doesn't use it yet and yes there is plan to use it in the future.

Inkscape really needs this feature....
I dont really know why and even till now there is no gpu support for inkscape, considering how radically powerful it is. OpenCL can easily be implemented if the will exists....HSA can wait....considering how useless Intel will become if HSA takes off....not really, Intel will need to use it too, considering how many mobile products and partners are able to materialize and deliver...unlike AMD

I'd be amazed if support for multiple GPU archs come across different platforms....imagine the new raspberry pi 2 running as a professional inkscape development workstation...hoping gimp/blender goes this way too..

At least rendering filters got improved.
