Actually, it is like big tablet, and is very usefull for a lecture speaker — it is possible not only show slides, but also draw a notes, diagrams, etc.

Note: We use Windows 7, 64bit, all drivers up-to date.

BUT.

Inkscape under Windows recognize only 20% of clicks on toolbars when we use pen/finger
(sometimes - works, but most of time — not toggled).

That means that click event obiously received, but a toolbar button not toggled/untoggled.

I am having this same issue. It renders me unable to use the program. I can't click through the tools like I should be able to. Exactly like your video showed. I downloaded the program yesterday on my Lenovo core i7 laptop running windows 8.

Here's how I would suggest to proceed:

1 - Confirm that the machines are properly configured. Since I'm not a tablet or touchscreen user, I couldn't say which settings are involved or how they should be set. But it would seem important to start there.
2 - If you still seem to be having issues, I think I would probably suggest searching Launchpad, to find out if any bugs have already been reported. If so, try to determine if your experience seems to be related to existing bugs, or if they are unique or new problems.
3 - If it seems to be a new problem, test against other graphics programs, to see if the problem is unique to inkscape. If not, perhaps the equipment isn't functioning properly.
4 - If it seems to be a new bug, unique to Inkscape, gather as much evidence as possible, before filing a new bug report. More info on filing bug reports: viewtopic.php?f=29&t=484

No, OK with GIMP. But GIMP toolbar not the same as Inkscape toolbar — GIMP toolbar buttons "not toggled" but selected.

Of course, I check it. I have 14 such touchsmarts and I tried all versions of touchscreen drivers (NextWindow/Voltron).

Yes. GIMP, LibreOffice - OK. Xournal — same problem.

Now I try to build linux with touchsmart/touchscreen drivers ("nwfermi" drivers and so on) but I still in process (I dont have these touchsmart at home, I see these touchsmarts only once a week...).
