Hello,
Is it possible to create an Inkscape filter to simulate the GIMP Alpha to Logo Glossy filter?
If there some tutorial to achieve similar results?
Thank you,
Mike

Welcome to InkscapeForum!
Yes, I think it could probably be done. But I doubt that you'll find any tutorials. The instructional material on the Filters Editor is few and far between. Here is what I've found: http://chrisdesign.wordpress.com/filter-effects/, http://fedev.blogspot.com/search/label/ ... 20Tutorial, and of course what's in the Guide: http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL ... lters.html.
If you're lucky, ivan louette will see the message, and possibly direct you to an existing filter that's similar. He's our resident filters master, lol. Actually, he's made many filters, and those which aren't already in the program, can be found in the Open Clipart Library (http://www.openclipart.org/, search 'ivan_louette'). But he may have some not posted yet, I'm guessing.

Thank you,
These resources are most valuable.
I've been using Inkscape for minor tasks for years.
I've been looking for the scripting documentation, but I've found almost none so far.
I'll look for the OpenClipart stuff now
Regards,
Mike
