[solved] How to export image with a transparent background?

Postby deepagnv » Mon Sep 17, 2007 3:53 am

Hi
I am trying to export the text and logo that I made a png so that I can use it on a website as the main heading. However, when I bring the image to the website, the background is black, which I want to be transparent, taking on the background color of the page.

Can you please tell me how I accomplish that? :?
Thanks,
Deepa

I figured out what the problem was. It has nothing to do with Inkscape. It's the google page creator (GPC) which was messing up the transparent background. So for people who might come across a similar situation in future, edit the GPC code to point to the correct uploaded image file.

Keep in mind also that IE doesn't support the transparent png very well.
