Is it possible to make 2d game art with inkscape?

I am a software developer and I look into developing my first mobile 2d game.
Is it possible using inkscape to make game art such as this game

Sure, but there`s a lot of sprites to be made.

If you can organise and support the whole production - count me in. It`s been a while since I`d like to go for something like this.

Search "game" and you'll find a few topics where people are showing the art they've made for games
