Hi,
Have created a keyboard template to help people with a new computer system at work - the ones that sit over the f1-f12 keys saying what they do.
Have read there can be differences in size between drawings when they're sent from one program to another eg an illustrator drawing can be a different physical size in inkscape because of different dpi.
How can I send this to work so it arrives the right size? I believe we use Illustrator at work, if that makes a difference.
Do I need to ensure the dpi I send at is the same as that they use at work, or is there another file format I can use which will ensure the physcal size is presereved? Sorry if this is a simple question - until two days ago had never heard of vector graphics, and I'm still learning.
Cheers,
Blair

Re: contacts
I think Inkscape wants it's stuff to be 90dpi. If you scale it up, it will make the image bigger instead of giving it more resolution. This thread may help.
Re: contacts
You don't need to worry about DPI if you work in real-world units. In your Document Properties under Page, change the default units to a real-world unit (i.e. mm, cm, in) and set your page size to the real-world size you need the template to be.
If you save the image as PDF you'll be able to confirm yourself that you got the size correct and you'll be able to open it in Illustrator.
