How to engrave like printer head

Postby djevlen » Sat Jun 25, 2016 11:23 pm

HEllo

if i want to engrave text "ABCDE" or picture, how to make it engrave so it travels over all letters back and forth, just like normal ink printer prints @ horizontal lines only ?

At the moment it will engrave a letter until its fully done and then jump to next letter.

Depending on how your engraving software works, you may be able to force the order using Extensions>Restack or maybe just be combining words.

i use Chinese laser engraver..There is no printer driver. It came with software called benbox and it can print like this, but in benbox you cant really edit your work, that's why switch to Inkscape.

The way i do it (im total newbie);

"my text" -> object to path -> J-tech photonic laser tool -> Universal gcode sender
or
"My text" -> object to path -> Eggbot Hatch Fill -> J-tech photonic laser tool -> Universal gcode sender

Please advice
